If you need a job or if you would be interested in changing jobs, you might want to head to Panama City Beach.
Just seven months after its groundbreaking, Nextel has opened its new expansion to its Customer Care Center.
The new 30,000 square-foot expansion plans means Nextel will add 250 new employees. This will make Nextel Partners the third largest non-government employer in Bay County with over 750 workers.
The company is planning to add another 250 employees in 2005 bringing the total Panama City Beach staff to over 1,000. The local center is also the largest in Nextel’s system.
The new 30,000 square foot building was dedicated Wednesday morning at 140 Beckrich Road, just next door to the company’s 65,000 square-foot facility that already had been in use for the past two years.
