Army reservist Sgt. Robert Ramsey arrived at the Panama City airport Friday morning where his family and friends were waiting with open arms.

Ramsey spent eight months in Iraq loading and unloading military vessels. Before that he spent several months in Europe. The biggest change since returning home his children.

His youngest daughter Madeline was seven weeks old when he left. Now, she's 10 months old. Ramsey will deploy to Kuwait in two weeks. He's not scheduled to return home until February, so he plans to make the most of his break.

It's sweet, it’s sweet; better to have it than not have it, so anything I can have is good. It’s good to be here," he says.

Ramsey says he wants to teach his youngest daughter how to walk and go deep sea fishing.
