Local golfers took part in the 12th annual Charity Golf Glassic held Saturdayat the Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach.
130-people on over 30-teams participated in this year's annual event that raises money for the local 'Toys for Kids Foundation'.
'Toys for Kids' ensures that children in Bay County will have gifts for the holiday season.
Event organizers are blaming the tough economy as reason why most of these families are finding it hard to provide even the most basic needs.
And that's why they're saying proceeds from the golf classic will hopefully help to lift some deserving families' spirits.
Operations Director Sean Lemon says "the holiday season is very big around here and we'll have two-thousand children rely on us this year and this event here helps us get a nice start to getting the funds to make the purchases for the holidays".
