A Local Man Is Charged With Attempted Armed Robbery

Bay County- A Blountstown man has been charged with attempted armed robbery and gun charges.

A Bay County jury charged Matthew Hall on Friday.

Officials say Hall, tried to rob another man on February 22nd.

According to police, Hall was armed with a shotgun when he confronted his victim and demanded money.

Instead of handing over the cash, the man ran away.

Hall was convicted of attempted armed robbery with a firearm.
Since he was a felon in possession of a firearm, Hall now faces up to 60 years in prison.
A sentencing date has not been set.
