A Local Man Is Killed In Early Morning Shooting

Panama City Beach- One person has died after an overnight shooting in Panama City Beach.

The shooting took place at a home on Allison Avenue.

According to police reports, neighbors heard 31 year old William Foster, known by friends as Scooter, loudly arguing with his girlfriend around 1:30 am Saturday morning.

Emergency responders say Foster died on the scene from apparent gun shot wounds.
His body has been turned over to the medical examiner's office.

According to officials from the Bay County Sheriff's Office, it appears Foster's girlfriend shot him in self-defense.

At this time, no foul play is suspected on her part.

Officials have not released the girl-friend's name.
She has not been arrested, but the investigation continues.
