Altha Bank Broken Into

CALHOUN COUNTY-- A Marianna man is behind bars after he allegedly broke into an Altha bank early Saturday morning

The bank's motion alarm alerted a Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputy who says he saw 27 year old Joshua Clenney inside the bank, wearing a pink towel on his head and socks on his hands.

The officer arrested Clenney as he tried to leave through a broken window.

Officers say Clenney used a meat cleaver and a butcher knife to destroy security equipment and hack through a sheet rock wall in an effort to get into the safe.

Clenney is charged with burglary, attempted grand theft and felony vandalism.

The bank sustained about $2,000 in damages.
