American Eagle Flight Stopped At NWFL Airport

BAY COUNTY-- Late Tuesday morning an American Eagle flight from Miami to Pensacola made an unscheduled stop here at Beaches International Airport.

The pilot said an electrical problem in the cockpit made him declare an in-flight emergency. The plane landed here without incident and the passengers were eventually transported to Pensacola by bus. Crews are still working on the aircraft to figure out the cause of the problem

"Because of the nature of the incident with the aircraft they were actually bused out by coach over to Pensacola," Richard McConnell, Deputy Executive Director, said.
