Teri Mattson runs the The Lucky Puppy rescue out of her home.Right now she has more than two dozen dogs living on her 125-acre farm.
Most she hopes will go to a good home. Others she knows she will have to keep forever. Her mission is to rescue dogs who have often mistreated.
Tuesday she traveled to an abandoned home west of Bonifay to rescue more than 10 dogs in visibly bad shape. Mattson says she will never be able to get on top of the problem without pet owners help.
The lucky puppy is always looking for support from the community.
