Area Water Project Grants

The Northwest Florida Water Management District has approved a pile of water projects, designed to protect and improve area waterways. They range from replacing water lines, all the way up to water tanks.

Bay Co. $1.8 million
(2 Projects: Parker, Callaway)

Bay County is receiving nearly 1.8 million dollars for 2-projects. Parker gets a million for a storm water treatment system in Parker Bayou. Callaway gets about 700-thiousand to develop a new stormwater management system facility.

Jackson Co. $1.3 million
(3 Projects: Marianna, Grand Ridge, Greenwood)

Washington Co. $440,000

Jackson County will receive a little more than 1-point-3 million for 3-projects located in Marianna, Grand Ridge and Greenwood.

Washington County is getting 440-thousand dollars for a new well system in Chipley.

Holmes Co. $834,000
(3 Projects: Bonifay, Esto, Noma)

Holmes County is in line for 834-thousand for 3-different projects in Bonifay, Esto and Noma.

Walton Co. $475,000
Okaloosa Co. $1.4 million
(2 Projects)

Walton County is getting nearly 475-thousand for a water main replacement in Defuniak Springs. And Okaloosa County is getting almost 1-point-4 million dollars for 2-projects, including a new water tank for the central part of the county.
