Area Woman Dies in Submerged Car

A Franklin County woman has died in a single car traffic crash on Highway 98 in Taylor County near Perry.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 67 year old Sharon H. Thoman of Lanark Village was pronounced dead at Doctor’s Memorial Hospital.

Troopers said Mrs. Thoman lost control of her car, rolled over several times and landed upside down in a water filled ditch. She was trapped inside and was underwater.
