A new housing report shows Bay County foreclosure rates are on the rise.

Core-Logic released the report Thursday, showing the September foreclosure rates inching toward 8%.
The local rate is well above the national rate of 3-and-a-half %, but it's well below the state average of more than 12%.

The report says homeowners are doing a good job of keeping up with their house payments.
The local mortgage delinquency rate is more than 11%, but that's actually down from the number of homeowners who were more than 90-days delinquent a year ago.

Bank of America is offering some help to about 5-thouand of it's Northwest Florida customers in need of foreclosure assistance.
Bank officials are offering free face-to-face consultations with home retention specialists Friday and Saturday. Those representatives will be available at the Wyndham Bay Point Resort from 8:30 until 6:00 on both days. And again, it is free to Bank of America customers.
