The trial is expected to last months or even years and will likely result in the oil giant paying billions in damages.
We asked Governor Rick Scott When asked if Florida deserves some of that money, Governor Rick Scott asked, “I’m optimistic that we will eventually get a settlement. When people get to trial they generally move a little faster. So hopefully we will get the right type of settlement and it will be good for our state.”
