The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is collecting donations for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Sandy caused more than 52-million dollars in damages, second only to Hurricane Katrina. More than 750,000 homes and businesses, mostly in New Jersey and New York, are still in the dark. Now a nor'easter is dumping heavy snow across the region.
The supplies collected by the Sheriff’s Office will be sent to the Toms River community in New Jersey, the hometown of their own Sergeant Bill Brotherston.
