Commissioners Decide on Architect for Courthouse Improvements

Bay County Commissioners voted Tuesday to move forward with plans to improve the Bay County Courthouse.
After receiving quotes and information from six architectural firms in March, Bay County commissioners decided to approve the agreement with Collins & Associates, Inc, the company that will design the courthouse addition.
The cost will be just over one million dollars for these designs.

"They will be showing renderings to the board of what the courthouse is going to look like. All of the judges are going to weigh in on how functional they're going to make it," said Commissioner George Gainer.

Commissioners say they expect to see the designs in the near future.
