The Bay County Economic Development Alliance met Wednesday morning to discuss projects of the past and building momentum in the future.
While there wasn't much specific talk of new projects, the EDA did applaud the efforts and progress made this year.
Chairman Joey Ginn says they have a goal to create 1,300 jobs next year. He says the effort is a challenge, but he believes they're ready, also noting there will be an emphasis on jobs in the aerospace industry.
"We're looking at a lot of projects," Giinn say, "I'm hopeful that as the economy improves, it'll work to our benefit of trying to attract some industry to this part of Florida."
This year the EDA celebrated the additions of companies like iSirona and GPD Pathology to the Bay County area. GPD Pathology will be opening in a few months.
