The newest veteran's center had it's grand opening today and it's right in Bay County.
The center, located at 3109 Minnesota Avenue, is one of 3 in northwest Florida. Representatives are excited to have the new location open. Attendees heard from Florida District 2 Representative Steve Southerland as well as Louann Engle, Readjustment Counseling Service Manager for the South Central Region.
The new center will feature counseling services for veterans returning from combat as well as their family members free of charge. Additionally, they will offer services for all sexual related incidents that happened while veterans were on active duty.
The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, however they are able to schedule appointments outside of those times.
