The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce has finally hired a new President.
After a five month search, the Board of Directors selected Lance Allison from Murray, Kentucky to lead the Beach Chamber. Allison has been President/CEO of the Murray Calloway County Chamber of Commerce.
Allison takes over for Beth Oltman who resigned in October to focus on her family and personal life. The resignation came less than two months after her arrest on shoplifting charges. Police say Oltman stole two candy bars from the Dillard’s at Pier Park on Labor Day. Those charges were later dropped. The chief state attorney says surveillance video of the incident was not enough evidence to prosecute.
According to a news release from the Beach Chamber, Allison led the Murray Calloway County Chamber to state association awards in membership retention, e-news communication, and publications. He has an extensive background in small business, having run his own photography studio. Allison plans to gear the programming for the Beach Chamber towards business development and member relations.
Allison earned a bachelor and master's degrees from Murray State University. He and his wife, Terra, and their three children, Payton, Chloe and Jack will be relocating to Panama City Beach in May.
