Beach Executive Faces Shoplifting Allegations

The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director is facing misdemeanor shoplifting charges.

47-year-old Beth Oltman spent part of her Labor Day holiday at Dillard's department store at Pier Park, where Beach Police say she is accused of stealing 2-gourmet candy bars.

Store security claims Oltman picked-up 4-of the candy bars, paid for 2-of the items, but placed the other-2 on a handicapped table where the cashier couldn't see them.

They say she then picked-up all 4-candy bars, eating 1-of them while still walking around in the store.

Beach police gave Oltman a Notice To Appear in court on the shoplifting charge, and gave her a Trespassing notice for Dillard's.
