The Panama City Beach police and fire departments responded to a near-drowning Sunday afternoon from Palmetto Inn and Suites.
First responders out to the scene at around noon where a boy was under water for minute or so before being pulled out.
Rescuers say he seemed a little lethargic but was responsive.
The beach is flying yellow flags today but officials are still urging everyone on the beach to be careful. This is the only serious water emergency so far this Labor Day Holiday weekend.
The boy was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center where he is recovering and is in good condition.
