Authorities are still investigating a vehicle fire that destroyed a big rig.
It happened about 1:45 Thursday afternoon on Highway 73, near the Jackson/Calhoun County line. The driver was hauling a load of pine logs to Marianna, when the truck caught fire.
He pulled over to the side of the road and tried to disconnect the logs from the truck. Fortunately he was not hurt.
By the time Jackson County Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene, there wasn't much of the truck left the save.
Investigators say they don't know what started the fire, but suspect it was some sort of mechanical failure.
