PANAMA CITY - The Panama City Rescue Mission has parted company with its Executive Director, Bill Fox.
The decision came down during Thursday night's Mission Board of Director's Meeting.
Board members won't say if they asked Fox to leave or he resigned.
They did say; however, they'd been considering the decision for several years.
They said they'd grown weary of what they called "negative media coverage over the missions ongoing battles with Panama City and Springfield over relocation of the main facility and the expansion of the Bethel Village for Women."
Fox ran for The Mission for 8 years.
Board Members say they hope to hire his replacement within a month.
