PANAMA CITY BEACH- Officers on the scene confirm the body of Cameron Tyler Smith, 20, was found Wednesday morning floating in the pond near the transient camp where he was living. It's located behind the Purple Haze on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach directly across from the county pier.

Smith was last seen early Friday. Friends say he took a synthetic form of LSD and jumped in the pond to go swimming. Crews have been searching for Smith for several days and were just about to release cadaver dogs to aid in the search when his body was found in the pond, near where he was last seen swimming.

Smith came to Panama City Beach for spring break a few months ago, returned to home to Rex, Georgia, then told family and friends he was moving here three weeks ago.
