LYNN HAVEN A flag retirement ceremony was held at the Lynn Haven Lion's Club.
Troop 300 gathered at the club to respectfully retire about 50 flags.
The troop first dismantled the flags by separating the stripes.
After all flags were separated, a special ceremony was held.
Scout Master Troop 300 Rob Adams explains, "It's important to show our respect for the flag. The flag means so much to the people of the country and to know that the flags are being retired respectfully, I think it means a lot. Show that to people that we have respect for the flag."
The flags were incinarated.
Scout leaders say the flags come from all over Bay County, mostly from businesses and banks.
