CALHOUN COUNTY - The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating a car crash that happened Saturday morning involving a deputy vehicle and inmate.
Reserve deputy Keith Daniels was transporting a female inmate from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office to the Calhoun County jail Saturday morning.
While he was driving through a construction area on Highway 20, investigators say he crossed onto the yellow barrier strips on the pavement and lost control of his patrol car.
Daniels slammed into the side of the bridge and is suffering from minor injuries. Right now it appears the inmate was not injured, but that investigation is still on-going.
