CALLAWAY-- Bay County health officials are asking people to stay out of a section of Callaway Bayou.
They say a power outage shut-down a lift-station, spilling 750 gallons of untreated sewage out of a manhole on Sukoshi Drive.
The sewage then ran into a drainage ditch, which empties into Callaway Bayou.
Health officials are advising people against swimming in the bayou, from Star Avenue to the entrance of East Bay.
Contact with raw sewage can expose you to intestinal viruses, bacteria and parasites.
If you have any questions, call the Bay County Health Department at 747-5508.
