A big day at Dan-D-Ridge Outfitters as they kicked off their annual hunting season with a party and held a special fundraiser for local non-profit organization, Camo Dreams.
Those in attendance got a chance to participate in a benefit 3D archery shoot and an iron deer shoot with all proceeds going to Camo Dreams.
The non-profit organization takes terminally ill children on hunting trips, allowing them an almost all-expense pid trip to make their camo dreams come true.
While those in attendance had a great time, the big pay off for the event was knowing that everything happening would go towards bringing a smile to a child's face.
"When they get that first deer, we've had kids 15 out of 19 on the deer hunts that have killed their very first deer ever," said Camo Dreams founder Derek Fussell. "Some of them never even shot a gun before going on a trip with us and to see that smile, create that memory for them? You can't buy that."
