The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash that left one Freeport resident dead.
The driver's name will not be released until family is notified, but FHP has confirmed the man was driving a Geo Metro on the Clyde Wells bridge before 8 p.m. Saturday night.
He drifted left and entered oncoming traffic when he crashed head-on into 65 year old freeport resident Kathleen Brice.
Brice is suffering from minor injuries.
The other driver was transported to sacred heart in Miramar Beach where he passed away from his wounds.
FHP says he was not wearing a seat belt.
