A well known family in Wewahitchka started its Christmas morning at 4am with the sound of a shot gun.
It's their tradition to have the older boys wake up the younger kids with its blast so they know to come down and see what Santa brought.
Right now, there are 15 children living at the Tauton Family Children's Home.
Many of them come from broken homes, but being at the Tautons is a chance for a new one.
For some this is their first Christmas with the Taunton's for others they have been spending Christmas there since birth, and have come back to help.
Lisa Combs has been a house mother for 17 years and said Christmas time is one of her favorite times of year at the Tauton's
“It's fast paced, action filled and it's a roller coaster ride. Lots of highs and you have some heart breaking moments. It's never full and it's filled with a lot of love," said Combs.
This evening the family will be sitting down to a dinner with all the children’s favorite, twice baked potatoes.
