Bay County Commissioners took time on Tuesday to remember former commissioner Jack Hamm, who passed away last week.
Hamm died on Monday, November 26th at the age of 82. Friends say, he served as District 2 commissioner from 1986 until 1990. Hamm was also a former U.S. Navy Reserve pilot and a community volunteer.
Bay County commissioners say he'll be missed.
"He was a good friend and he had a great wit about him. He really cared about his family and this county and this nation and we will all miss him," said commissioner George Gainer.
Hamm is survived by his wife, Jane Hamm, four children, and nine grandchildren.
