Compassionate Chefs for Kids

Talk about a food lovers dream. All of your favorite dishes from your favorite local restaurants in one place for a great price.

It just doesn't get any better than that... or does it?

How about knowing the money you're spending is going to help at risk children.

It's a fund raiser for Children's Home Society of Florida and for the programs it offers to children and families in need.

CHS is the oldest and largest child welfare organization in Florida with seven programs ranging from adoption to early intervention.

Director of Charitable giving for Children's Home Society, Felicia Cook, says, "CHS offers safety, security and hopefully a very secure home to the children that are in need here in our area."

The organization covers 8 panhandle counties.

"Here in the Bay County Area we service over 2000 families and with that comes a very large bill so this is one of the fundraisers that we do to help us meet those needs," says Cook.

That's where you and your appetite come in.

Some of the areas best chefs will show off thier signature dishes Saturday September 7 at the Bay Point Wyndham Resort as part of Compassionate Chef's for Kids.

Doors open at 6:30 and you can dine, dance and donate up until 9:30.

Cook says, "The tickets are 40 dollars which is very inexpensive for coming and sampling all the food that our wonderful chefs have made for us."
