Crowd of Spring Breakers Get Out of Control at Hotel

PANAMA CITY BEACH - Panama City Beach police arrested several people after a large crowd of spring breakers got a bit out of control Tuesday.

It happened about 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Holiday Inn on Front Beach Road.

Several officers showed up and tried to disperse the crowd. Witnesses say they arrested two people and had to use a taser on one of them.

"The Holiday Inn has always been a focal point on the high school kids because they can't go behind the major night clubs because they're not old enough to drink. We're dealing with 16 to 17 to 18 year old kids. Today the crowd got a little bit out of control, we sent several officers down there and we dispersed the crowd," said Chief Drew Whitman of the Panama City Beach Police Dept.

Both were charged with disorderly conduct. One is also facing a count of resisting arrest.
