Day Two of Apalachicola's Seafood Festival Kicks Off

APALACHICOLA - Apalachicola's 50th annual Seafood Festival is wrapping up Sunday night in Battery Park.

The festival dedicated to Apalachicola's famous seafood kicked off day two with the Redfish Run Saturday morning and the parade a little later.

Kids under the age of 12 were invited to participate in the blue crab races, while adults joined in on the oyster shucking and eating contests.

More than 50 vendors set up booths to sell hats, shirts, and of course a wide variety seafood.

The festival continues until 11:00 Saturday night with country music star Kellie Pickler headlining at 8:00 and then a fireworks show.
