Defense Rests in Bank Fraud Trial

The defense has rested in the federal bank fraud trial of three former officials of the failed Coastal Community Bank.

Terry Dubose, Woody West, and Frank Baker are facing 7 counts of wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

The FDIC says the men defrauded them out of several million dollars.

Tuesday morning prominent Jackson County leaders took the stand as character witnesses in defense of Frank Baker, including Sheriff Lou Roberts.

The witnesses described him as a law abiding and religious citizen.

The jury will likely receive the case Tuesday afternoon.
