Divers Search Ponds Near Springfield Gardens Park
Panama City- Law Enforcement officials and fire department personnel spent a good chunk of the day on Saturday investigating some drainage ponds around Springfield Gardens Park.
Divers were in and out of the water near Transmitter Road and Santee Road in Springfield.
Authorities say they're looking for evidence from a recent case or a weapon, but they aren't saying which case this could be connected to.
Springfield and Panama City Fire Departments, plus the Panama City Police Department are all involved in the investigation.
“This isn’t from a recent event. We’re just following up on several leads that have developed over the last couple of weeks. We’re making sure all of our bases are covered,” said Detective Raymond Perkins.
So far, officials aren’t releasing any other details.
