Domestic Dispute Leads to Violent Stabbing

A domestic dispute leads to a violent early morning stabbing in Cottondale.

Cottondale Police along with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to an incident on Church Street around 2:30 Saturday morning. There, they say Panama City residents 50-year old Jacqueline Alecia Jackson and 43-year old Cedric Maurice Cameron were involved in a fight.

According to reports, Jackson stabbed Cameron multiple times in the arm, shoulder, and chest. He was initially transported to Jackson Hospital's for treatment, but when doctors realized his injuries were life-threatening, he was rushed to Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Cameron is now listed in stable condition. Jackson is in the Jackson County Jail facing attempted murder charges.
