Major undertow and numerous rip currents have caused Beach and Surf Patrol officers to post DOUBLE RED Warning Flags at Panama City Beach Saturday morning.
Beach Police say the water has just gotten too rough in a hurry and it was necessary to close the water to swimmers.
By 11 AM more than a dozen swimmers had to be pulled from the surf by Panama City Beach Police and Bay County Sheriff;'s Deputies.
By 2:00 PM this afternoon Paramedics the total rescued had surpassed 25 who were treated at the scene and two who were rescued and rushed to the hospital where they died. It was a bad three hours and rescue personnel say the calls are still coming in because people will not stay out of the water.
Later in the Afternoon the toll had jumped to 3 dead and more than 30 rescued.
