A Crestview teenager is critically injured after walking away from a traffic crash early Sunday Morning in Okaloosa County.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 19 year old William Edgar McDonald wrecked his car while speeding on Crestview Airport Road near Fairchild Road. He hit a sign, ran into a ditch and then hit a utility pole head on.
A witness heard McDonald revving his engine after the crash and then saw him walking up a hill.
Troopers say a witness tried to warn him about “live” power lines on the ground. But the teenager came in direct contacted with the energized power lines anyway. He was life-flighted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola where he is listed in critical condition.
