A local woman is facing child neglect charges for allegedly using drugs while she was pregnant.
Bay County sheriff's investigators say 23-year old Jessica Ann MacKenzie used cocaine, opiates, or painkillers just before she gave birth to a baby on November 8th.
The Children's Advocacy Center learned of the alleged drug use, and had the baby tested. Authorities say those test results came back positive for drugs, so they issued an arrest warrant for MacKenzie, charging her with child neglect with great bodily harm.
The courts have granted MacKenzie a pretrial release. As part of the agreement she must undergo drug testing.
