Southwest Airlines appears to be cancelling one of its Bay County flights.
The airline is reportedly dropping service from Northwest Florida Beaches International (ECP) to Orlando.
Right now Southwest flies 2-roundtrip flights a day to Orlando. Apparently that will drop to 1-roundtrip a day in November. Then Southwest will discontinue the service in December.
The move is part of an overall schedule restructuring on Southwest's part. They're cancelling a number of short-haul flights across the board.
Airport officials are disappointed, but say they understand Southwest is trying to make the most of it's assets to meet passenger needs.
In June Southwest added a third daily flight to Houston and 1-roundtrip flight to St. Louis for the summer season.
