Eastside Mobile Home Destroyed by Fire

Parker officials believe a child, playing with matches, was responsible for a mobile home fire. It happened a little before 3:00 Thursday morning in the 900-block of East Park Street.

Parker Firefighters say a 6-year old boy was apparently playing with a lighter in a bedroom and set fire to a blanket. The flames then spread to the entire home.

An adult managed to get the boy and a 1-year old child out of the trailer safely, then tried to fight the flames himself.

By the time firefighters arrived, the home was already destroyed. Authorities say they're not filing any charges.
