A 64-year-old DeFuniak Springs man has died from injuries he received in a traffic crash last weekend.
James Lamar Ammons was critically injured when he was driving on a private dirt road as he left his house just east of Ammons Road in north Walton. He lost control of his SUV and crashed into a Pine Tree.
The vehicle then crossed back over the private drive and went into some bushes.
He was life-flighted to a Pensacola Hospital in critical condition. He died several days later.
The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
