Elderly Man Tied Up During Home Invasion

Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a frightening home invasion.

An 87-year-old man who lives on Lang Road in Fort Walton Beach told deputies he heard a knock at the door around 8:30 Monday night. When he opened it, a male and female stormed in with handguns. They forced the man to the floor and tied him up while they ransacked his house.

The man was able to free himself and ran to a neighbor’s house where he called 911. But he was unable to tell deputies much about the suspects, other than they were wearing hooded sweatshirts and wearing gloves.

A witness saw a black male and white female with a bag fleeing the area in a black two-door Hyundai.
