Early voting begins tomorrow in Florida, and officials are estimating as many as half of the primary voters will take advantage of early and absentee voting.

Bay County -- The Bay County Supervisor of Elections office spent much of Friday preparing polling equipment and poll workers for what they anticipate will be a busy early voting cycle.
“It’s been publicly tested, it’s out there and ready to go, we have technical support rovers out there available if we do have any nuance that occur out there” said Mark Andersen, Bay County Supervisor of Elections.
Andersen is encouraging those who already know who they are voting for take advantage of the early voting period.
“It’ll begin this Saturday the 21st and it’ll end the following Saturday the 28th and then that Sunday and Monday before Election Day, there is no voting anywhere in Bay County” said Andersen.
Early voting dates are the same throughout the state, but the voting hours can vary from county to county. Andersen says he chose times he felt would be convenient for most people.
“I chose 11 to 7 because I believe that is the widest area that would allow the most number of voters to be available” said Andersen.
There will be four locations in Bay County open to early voting. At the Panama City Beach Library, voting stations were being prepared Friday in preparation for what is expected to be a higher turnout this election cycle.
Andersen says voters can vote at any early voting precinct prior to the early voting cut-off date, but on Election Day voters must vote at their assigned voting location according to their address.
Andersen expects about 60% in those people who vote to do so before primary day.
“If you were to look at absentee and early voting, 52% in the last general election had voted before Election Day, I see that increasing” said Andersen.
