EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE-- The Air Force grounded an F-35 fighter jet Monday night after it caught fire just before take-off Sunday morning.
The aircraft, similar to this one, is part of a fleet of 26 at Eglin Air Force Base.
Base officials say the fire was noticed in the back of the plane while it was still on the runway.
Firefighters were able to put it out rather quickly, and no one was hurt.
They're still assessing the damage to the F-35 Lightning jet, and investigating how the fire may have started
