F-35 Fight Takes Off Tuesday Night

VALPARAISO The mayor of Valparaiso is urging the community to attend an Air Force meeting tonight concerning a plan that would allow more F-35 jets to fly over the city.

The Air Force wants to lift the restrictions on the number of jets that can take off from the Valparaiso runway as it ramps up F-35 training.

But Mayor Bruce Arnold is worried about the effects of noise from the jets, and believes it will hurt property values and the community's way of life.

The meeting will be tonight at 5:30 at the First Baptist Church at 444 Valparaiso Parkway.
