BAY COUNTY-- Monday the Florida Department of Health in Bay County will celebrate World Hepatitis Day by helping to raise awareness about the disease.
You can head to its office on 11th Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for free screenings, information and giveaways.
According to the Center of Disease Control, hepatitis is especially common among baby boomers. Seventy-five percent of adults with the disease are from this generation.
The Department of Health says everyone who is at risk for Hepatitis C is encouraged to get tested.
