FHP Searches for Vehicle Identiy in Hit-and-Run

ESCAMBIA COUNTY-- The Florida Highway Patrol is asking the community for information about a hit-and-run Friday night in Escambia County.

FHP officials say a 59-year-old pedestrian tried to cross Mobile Highway, south of Edison Drive around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

A vehicle hit Roy Reasoonover in the north-bound right turn lane, then dragged him more than 20 feet under the vehicle before fleeing the scene, leaving Reasoonover lying in the road.

Officials say the vehicle may be an SUV with front-end damage. It may have driven east on Edison Road after the collision

Reasonover is in stable condition today.

An FHP trooper says this is at least the fifth car versus pedestrian collision on this stretch of road in the just the past week.
