A motorist was killed late Friday night in a fiery crash on Delwood Beach Road near Bay Point at Panama City Beach.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 23 year old Jessica I Kalma of Panama City Beach was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed, ran a stop sign at the intersection of Delwood Beach Road and Delwood Drive. The speeding car then ran off the road and crashed into a large Magnolia tree.
Troopers say the crash started a fire which consumed the engine and passenger compartments.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The car valued at $20,000 was totally destroyed.
