Florida's Department of Health launched a new "prescription" program for kids Thursday.
The Nature Play Prescription Program allows physicians to write a one time pass for kids and 8 friends to get into a state park for free.
The one time pass will be good at all 161 state parks.
Organizers hope the program will help curb childhood obesity rates in the state.
"Children being able to get into Florida state parks will encourage them to be more physically active and be able to address health issues that they're facing," Nathan Dunn, Florida Department of Health, said.
Forty county health departments are participating in the program.
