First Appearance for Jackson County Shooting Suspects

JACKSON COUNTY-- Three suspects charged in connection with a double shooting in Jackson County this weekend remain in jail.

Monday a judge ordered Jordan Davis, Chris Laster and Dayeisha Curry held without bond.

Davis is charged with murder, and attempted murder.

Laster and Curry are facing one count each of principle to homicide and attempted murder.

Jackson County Sheriff's Investigators said Curry arranged a meeting with Travis Locke and Patrick Register to buy pills used to make methamphetamine.

They say when Davis and Laster ambushed Locke and Register on Dellwood Cypress Road near Grand Ridge early Sunday morning.

Davis allegedly shot both men. Register was airlifted to Bay Medical Sacred Heart Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Locke was treated and released from Jackson Hospital in Marianna.

Authorities arrested Davis, Laster and Curry during a traffic stop in Marianna.

They're being held in the Jackson County Jail.
